Fibrin: The Sticky Protein Behind Joint Pain and Inflammation

Fibrin

Bonus Content: The 5 WORST Foods to Eat If You Have Joint Pain or Arthritis

The sticky clumps covering the red blood cells pictured above is called fibrin. It’s your body’s first response to injury and pain.

Fibrin itself is not bad, unless it gets out of control.

Fibrin dictates how healthy and flexible every part of your body stays as you age. Lingering pain, loss of flexibility, and chronic inflammation can all be traced back to out of control fibrin levels.

Not that you’ll hear much about fibrin from most pharmaceutical companies… They know once you understand what it is and how it works, you can reclaim a pain-free life. And stop wasting money on their dangerous pain pills.

WATCH: The 5 WORST Foods to Eat If You Have Joint Pain or Arthritis

Fibrin: just the facts

Fibrin is an insoluble protein that acts as a first responder whenever your body is injured.

When the call for help goes out, fibrin molecules rush to the scene.

Shaped like long threads, each fibrin molecule interlaces to form a thin mesh around your wound.

This mesh is critical for trapping the platelets and red blood cells needed to form blood clots.

Without fibrin, even small wounds would just keep bleeding. Fibrin mesh is the base material for clots, scabs, scars, and eventual healthy skin.

When everything is in perfect working order, the fibrin rushed to the injured site is returned to your body as you heal.

After a few days of repairs, your system sends in a second clean-up crew of enzymes to dissolve the excess fibrin and leave your muscles, nerves, and blood vessels just as they were before you were hurt.

Unfortunately, most of our bodies aren’t in perfect working order. When we hurt, we take pills, and pain pills cancel the body’s signal for enzymatic clean-up crews. Fibrin keeps rushing to the scene.

Over time, the fibrin molecules thicken and stiffen, forming scar tissue masses that can block blood vessels, interfere with muscle function, and lead to chronic inflammation.

Fibrin malfunction means major pain

This fibrin malfunction is no laughing matter. Excess scar tissue restricts blood flow and oxygen throughout your body, slowing down your healing process and keeping you in pain longer. As the scar tissue thickens, it reduces your range of motion and contributes to chronic pain.

A prime example of this process is fibromyalgia. The pain and suffering of fibromyalgia have been linked to an excess of fibrin in your muscle tissues.

Known as fibrosis, this condition can spread to affect every muscle and organ in your body.

Excess fibrin is associated with the aches and pains of getting older.

After all, the longer we live, the more we do to interfere with our natural healing systems — and studies show that our internal fibrin control systems begin to decline around age 27.

It doesn’t take long for fibrin overgrowth to become a real quality of life issue.

Reversing excess fibrin

Fortunately, it doesn’t take long to reverse fibrin overgrowth. The key is re-activating your body’s natural fibrin clean-up crew.

This crew is made of proteolytic enzymes, a group responsible for breaking down protein molecules.

They hit fibrin masses and literally eat them away. As an added bonus, proteolytic enzymes cleanse toxins from your blood, fight viruses, and fortify your immune system.

Unfortunately, your regular diet alone won’t overcome the massive drop in natural proteolytic enzyme production as you age.

Not only are most modern foods lousy nutritional sources, but the best naturally occurring proteolytic enzyme food sources are not a significant part of our normal diet.

You can get proteolytic enzymes from plant sources like pineapple stems, caper leaves, and papaya, but they need to be extracted in a lab. Unless you have one at home, you’ll want a proteolytic enzyme supplement.

It’s no surprise Big Pharma doesn’t want you to ask “what is fibrin” and discover the truth about how fibrin is keeping you in pain – and can be safely and easily eliminated.

If everyone understood the basic mechanics of the fibrin response and how pain pills mess things up, their sales would plummet.

They want you on expensive, addictive, and toxic medications — but to improve your health and live pain-free, you just need to boost your systemic proteolytic enzymes.

Hi , I’m about to start taking heal and soothe – are you still taking it? If so, are you still getting benefit? Chrissie Champion

  2. Peter says:

I started taking Heal-n-Sooth three weeks ago – I started pooping 2 to 3 times a day full formed poops – not sure where all that is coming from but I knew I needed to detox ?

    1. Perry says:

I have had debilitating arthritis in hips for 10 years. I can walk or stand only limited amounts. I have been taking the product for four weeks. Ten capsules a day. I can definitely get my left foot-sock on easily. My walking this week has became easier. I started taking stairs instead of elevator. My number of steps increased this week and I wasn’t trying. I still have another day of steps to go before the week is closed. According to the pamphlet that came with the product I’m progressing on schedule. I’m looking forward to more results as well as doing some yard work

      2. LARRY says:

DO I READ CORRECTLY THAT PERRY IS TAKING 10 PILLS A DAY FOR 4 WEEKS ?
SO DOES THIS MEAN HE HAS STARTED HIS 10TH BOTTLE OF CAPSULES ?

        1. Steve HBI-Staff says:

Larry, some people do take more for a short period of time called an (activation dose) and then they go or stay with what is called a (maintenance dose).

There are many factors that people use to consider how much to take like Age, Activity level, location of the condition, the severity of the condition. In general, people start with 3 capsules and add one per day till they feel it working, so you could feel it at 3 and never need to add more. It all depends on you the individual.

    2. Leya says:

Yes this product is a relief to my arthritis pain I started taking it since 2014 till now . I don’t complain of pains anymore.

  3. Kent says:

Peter, how many a day are you taking?

  4. Cindy solsman says:

I have chronic migraine headaches. Is there any way fibrin could be involved in them? For one thing I hit the windshield in two car accidends. Also the muscles in my neck and shoulders are always extremely tense. What do you think.

    1. Kathryn Ellison Lapides says:

I suffer from CFS, migraines, Lyme disease, costochondritis. The Lyme which is in The autoimmune category of diseases is constantly releasing pro-inflammatory cytokines. After 3 abdominal surgeries, ‘I feel stuck’ inside. Currently have symptoms of bowel obstruction which I am seeing a GI for at Cedars. Could this product help break down scar tissue that is years old?
      Thank you,
      Kathryn

      1. Admin says:

        Hi Kathryn,
Thank you for your question. Yes it can regardless of how long it has been there, it just takes time…

    2. Lela says:

When i had pain from my osteoarthritis 1st stage i was even more desperate when it started hurting at night. That meant no sleeping because i didn’t want to take meds since they ruined my stomach.
I prayed for healing n help from God. Within days the Holy Spirit said CUT OUT SUGAR. I did and within days pain and stiffness disappeared. I continued and i noticed that my migrain headaches were gone too. I always had allergies to food or inhalants. Every time i went back to eating sweets the pain in my knees n migraine came back.
Only later i found a video about Fibrin n saw the connection. In 1 year i had lost 11kg – 24lbs n it stays there. Eternally grateful to God.

      1. stephanie says:

do you take any prescription medicines. I am not sure if this will interact with my meds

  5. Steve says:

    Cindy S,

There are several causes for migraines so I can not tell you specifically why you get them or specifically how to resolve them however, if blood flow regulation has any part of your causes, the use of systemic enzymes could play a role in support of healthy blood flow, and that help everyone…

Can this be used to treat Peronies?

  7. Steve says:

Alvin, I have no proof that Heal n Soothe can help Peronies, but we can say the enzymes can support the body in regulating scar tissue systemically throughout the body…

Starred taking Heal and Sooth about 10 days ago. I started with 3 a day first 4 days then increased to 4 a day for the next 4 days. I am back to 3 a day now and I feel so much better. The pain has decreased to almost nothing. Thank God I am off the Advil and Tylenol.

    1. Deanna says:

Hello Steve. I’ve suffered from chronic pain (from fibromyalgia, achalasia, arthritis, back fusion, neurology, surgeries, accidents, etc.) for over 20+ years. I’ve been on strong pain medications and muscle relaxers for many years but continue to have awful pain in a daily basis.

So, I’m very interested in learning more about Heel-N-Soothe. First, would you mind sending me the fibromyalgia information you provided to another person (I believe in November, 2017) and second, is there a trial supply (maybe 7 days) of Heel-N-Soothe available for purchase prior to buying a month, or two or more? (One factor for me is the cost because of being on a limited income.)

Thank you in advance for your response.

Would soothe and heal work for me ?

    Thanks

    1. Steve HBI-Staff says:

Joanne, The bowel adhesions them selfs is not an issue, but we would ask you to consult your physician on the matter of using Enzymes and working your self off opioids…

      Thanks

      Steve

  16. Patricia Clark says:

what are bowel adhesions and why are they not an issue? I have lots of scar tissue and some of it is from Colin reconstruction. Would heal-n-soothe help any scar tissue?

  17. Steve says:

Patricia, we would ask you to consult your physician, to see if you have any ulcerations after the reconstruction, please note the intestinal tract needs to be intact and healthy in order for the enzymes to effectively pass through the intestinal lining and make it into circulation…If the intestinal lining is not intact the enzymes could cause and an irritation…

    Thanks for the question

Hi Steve ! I have sciatica problems . Some arthritis and Fibromyagia could Heal And Soothe help me

        1. Steve HBI-Staff says:

          Jacqueline,

Yes, Heal n Soothe can help your body from a physiological point of view, in that it can support optimal blood flow, the enzymes can help break down and remove any toxins from the area that is irritating the sciatica nerve and it can help support a balanced inflammatory response.

          Thanks

          Steve HBI Staff

  20. Julie knapp says:

How do the protiolytic enzymes survive the digestive processes in the stomach and small intestines? And, since they are fairly large molecules, how are they absorbed into the blood, still intact ? How are they “protected”?

    1. Steve HBI-Staff says:

      Julie,

There are two things science does not know about enzymes…
      1. They do not know what they look like, as there are no images of an enzyme
      2. They do not know how they are absorbed…
However, they know that they are as these studies show, it to be so…

  21. Cynthia says:

You never mentioned Rheumatoid Arthritis. Will the enzymes help this condition?

    1. Steven Hefferon says:

Cynthia, Everyone is different and will respond differently, results are very but there are root level issues that everyone should follow, including addressing and nutritional imbalance, in this case if you are deficient in enzymes there is a good possibility that you could see and feel differently…

Here is one user or Heal n Soothe that had RA…

“I have been taking Heal n Sooth and Super Joint Support for an immune deficiency, RA, OA, fibromyalgia and other Neuro disorders for a little over a month and the results are amazing! I no longer have to do my RA injection or my immunoglobulin infusion and I’m healthier and in less pain than I’ve been since I got sick! My iG levels are normal for the 1st time in 11 years. I’m so grateful for these supplements and I’ve found I have to take both for the best benefits. I also have the topical cream for those extra pains and it works wonders. Friends have commented on how great I look and I tell them all about these miracle supplements. Thank you so much!!!!”

      Thanks

      1. Jeannie Barnett says:

I read your letter and am happy you found relief. my question has this product stop the damage that RA can cause?

  22. Cheryl A Grandy says:

What is the ingredient that caused you to state on the label “do not take if suspect you have an ulcer”?

this product sounds wonderful, and I bought it and was taking it, but I found out I DO have an ulcer

    1. Steve says:

Cheryl, The enzymes in Heal n Soothe is the ingredient that caused us to state on the label “do not take if suspect you have an ulcer”…

      Thanks

      Steve

  23. Claudia says:

Would these pills help a person suffering from psoriasis arthritis and had MSSA

  24. Helena Wall says:

Hello ! Just taking my first Heal n Soothe plus the Joint supplement today !
I have had oesteo arthritus for about 17 years. I am a very youthful looking 68 yr old woman, almost 6 ft tall.. I have had both hips and both knees replaced anf a left ankle fusion. Lucky me people still think I LOOK amazing. Here’s hoping I will FEEL amazing soon as well !! My shoulders and rc , elbows, wrists are painful now. Mixed origins for the oa but viral origin is certainly a part. I am also looking into purchasing the “pain zapper”, (which at the right frquency is supposed to kill viruses) as I call it, from this website depending on the cost and availability.. My clever kiniesiologist has one, however I cannot use his often enough. He also has a Physiospec. I have only limited experience with it though..
Do these enzymes also help with killing n flushing viruses from joints n blood stream , please ? Hope so ! I guess these sups plus the zapper may be ideal for me.
Thank you so much for reading from me , Helena. Australia.

    1. Steve HBI Staff says:

      Helena,

Please let me add a few additional comments to your post…

      1. Please note, the supplements will do wonders for your physiology but remember at almost 6′ there is a physical component to your recovery, please add in some type of physical activity in order to produce balance in your muscles. There is no better way to speed up the process of healing than to combine nutrition and physical activity. (all joint)

      2. The Zapper is awesome, and I have to thank you, just put my unit on the charger:)

      3. The enzymes do help stimulate the immune system, that is why they are not suggested for anyone currently taking an antibiotic…

      Thanks

      Steve

  25. Linda Finley says:

I have been diagnosed with lipodermatosclerosis in my lower legs that is characterized by fibrosis resulting in venous insufficiency. I am thinking about trying Heal-n-Soothe to improve this condition. I am 78 years old and have had RA for 41 years that began with Adult Onset Still’s Disease. I have had both hips and both knees replaced between 2003 and 2008 and they are still in very good condition. This past Aug 1st I was hospitalized 6 days with bleeding diverticula, requiring 2 pints of blood, but no surgery, inflammation or infection. My gastro MD believes that supplements only cause problems, in spite of my having used curcumin to halt 15 years of recurring development of pre-cancerous colon polyps. My greatest concern with Heal-n-Soothe is that it might cause a recurrence of the diverticular bleeding. I have been using Rutin and Aronia to help strengthen blood vessels and capillaries. If Heal-n-Soothe is reasonable, what dose should I start out with? I would also appreciate any other comments you might have.
I appreciate receiving your e-newsletter about fibrin, as I remembered it when I started to look for natural ways to treat fibrosis.

    1. Admin says:

      Hi Linda,

Thank you for your kind words regarding our newsletter. Regarding your question, based on what you have indicated about your intestinal tract, we can not suggest you use any Enzyme supplements.

I am so angry right now. I began taking Heal-N-Soothe a while back while also seeing a “holistic doctor” for my chronic pain (Psoriatic Arthritis, Hyshimo’s Thyroid, Raynaud’s), . He went through all my supplements and literally threw my bottle in the garbage. He said it was useless and a scam. After several months of seeing this doctor and “stealing” my money, I realized he was the real fraud. Now, I have to start all over with hundreds of dollars lost from this “holistic a**hole.”

I ave severe osteoarthiritis in both my feet ,its very painful ,i have had steroid injections in both feet,it gives 4 to 5 weeks relief, can you reccomend anything to help alleviate the pain mrs j robinson

    1. Steve HBI-Staff says:

Here are some suggestions to run past your physician…

      1. Custom footwear, in order to support your feet and keep them in a neutral and balanced position so you minimize any irritation caused by weight-bearing.

      2. Sometimes compression stockings are a great way to keep fluids out of the calf and foot.

      3. During those 4-5 months of relief, exercise get those legs stronger more flexible and more stable.

      Thanks

Is this product completely safe? 1. Can someone with a delicate esophagus take papaya products? 2. Can someone at risk of diabetes 2 take these enzymes? (Some enzymes raise the sugar level…?) Please advise. Thank you

    1. Steve says:

Nancy, this product has an excellent safety record, please understand that all supplements are considered safe for healthy adults including our Heal n Soothe but like with any supplement we have to ask you to consult your physician if you have medical concerns about this or any supplement.

The 3 capsule serving of Heal n Soothe is only 5 calories and less than one gram of sugar, please consult your physician before purchase or use, thanks…

      Steve HBI-Staff

  30. Joanne says:

Why do you never answer any inquiry regarding Psoriatic Arthritis? I see three inquiries and NOTHING from you! I do not want to spend $50 a month on something that WILL NOT help my husband who has PA. Please respond to these people here. Joanne

  31. Steve says:

Joanne, we can not tell you a supplement is going to help for anyone’s condition but rather, we can say that the enzymes can support the body’s healthy inflammation levels and circulation giving the body a good chance at achieving its restorative best.

    Thanks

    Steve HBI-Staff

  32. Sandy McMurray says:

I have severe arthritis in my left elbow which has traveled down my arm and wrist and upper part of hand. It’s very hard for me to do almost anything because I’m left handed. I just developed arthritic pain in my right thumb joints. I’ve been on hydrocodone 10-325 4 a day and Ibuprofen 600MG 2 times a day for a good 10 years. My question is if taking H-N-S and SJS as recommended, will your supplements still work? Or does it cancel the supplements to do their job? I don’t want to take the pain meds so I can experience the full benefits of the supplements. I have been taking your supplements for 3-4 months and haven’t experienced any brake through yet. I’m not giving up. I’m just wondering if it because I’m still taking the pain meds…

    1. Steve says:

Sandy, Just to be clear HnS and SJS do not work l like hydrocodone or Ibuproden, but yes they can help you just need to be patient and consistent with their use over the long term.

      Thanks

      Steve

  33. jenifer says:

    Re: Heal N Soothe

Please explain detail: per 3 capsules
    Bromelain 6,000,000 FCCPU
    Protease 60,000 HUT
    Alkaline protease 12,000,000 USP
    Papin 1,500,000 FCCPU

Question: Are any of the above enzymes “too much” or to be concerned with taking for any particular health issues (doctors don’t really know nutrition that much yet). Example: Read Protease can act as raw material to manufacture white blood cells or can digest dead or damaged cells that are mainly protein.
6 capsules only increase the above 3 capsule amts. the reason the queston.

I have osteoartheritis, beginning of thyroid diagnosis, controlled hypertension (BP), narrowing of the spine stenosis, sciatica/pirformis syndrome with serve constant hip & leg pain. (I don’t want to take the NSAID or Naproxen because of their risks). Additionally, recent abnormal thickening of the uterus wall- post menopause.

I have taken one bottle 30 days and on the second month now. Haven’t noticed relief yet but still taking. I am hesitate to increase more than 6 capusules/day at this timeI due to taking BP meds & supplements unless I hear that it absolutely safe (I know you can’t advise and disclose to ask health providers).

Thank you for any information on the ingredients in the capusule to be informed about. P.S. Read that Rutin is great for cartlidge building of joints? Do you know what amount range might be recommended to do this effectively if at all.
    Jenifer

    1. Steven Hefferon, CMT, PTA says:

Everyone has different enzymatic requirements and there is no one correct amount for everyone, that is why we suggest you “find your dose” in other words, try taking 3 can see how you feel, if you feel you could take more, then try taking more. There is no rule or anyone specific amount so we tell people to go by their gut.

Please also know that supplement take time to work and take time to make a difference in the body before any change is felt, Please stick with it, better days are ahead… Steve

  34. jenifer says:

“Support a healthy inflammatory response or immune system”. Do the enzyme ingredients only support an “already healthy inflammatory response or promote it”.It may just be for marketing material that the words are interchanged but wanted to clarify for myself if it already had to be healthy or if not ideal that it will improve or promote (I understand no guarantees and based on severity of diagnosis).

The example label for H N S Systemic Enzyme Blend shows difference strengths than the actual bottle I have been sent i.e. Rutin 30 mg. on mine and 195 mg. on the example. Is this a newer version? I lie the increased Rutin.

  35. Don R says:

I have been told I need a total shoulder replacement to play golf without pain.
I have full range of motion and workout five days a week.Have been taking heal n soothe for 5 weeks.
Started with 8 caps per day now take 15 caps in the morning and five in the evening.
Normal movements during the day much improved,
Playing golf still hurts not as much.
No side effects from large dosage but not very cost effective.
    Any advice moving forward?

Going forward, I would suggest less capsules (3-6 total daily) but commit to the longer term, (months and Months)

I have been waiting a long time to be able to get your product in Australia. When are you going to send it again? Other suppliers have not had delivery problems.I

This is not necessarily for posting on your website, but I need to ask a question. I have been taking Heal N’Soothe since March. I have the book “Arthritis Reversed” and have been trying to adjust my diet according to that. The pain in my knees and elbows (which wasn’t great to start with) has lessened. But the pain in my fingers has greatly increased. Any suggestions?

  38. Greta-Mary Hair says:

Dear Jesse, thank you for the emails and all the care expressed within them.
The arthritis in my back and knees is fantastically reduced. However, relatively
recently I have been experiencing pain across my shoulders, upper back, toes
and right ankle. I’ve been taking Heal-n-Soothe and Rub on Relief but it is still quite bothersome. I’m looking forward to receiving another tube 0f ROR quite soon.
Some time ago your kind offer to ‘bribe’ me into accepting a very generous
reduction arrived just after I’d spent a large amount of money on another offer
regarding alzheimers and my budget did not allow for it. I do apologise. I’d love to
afford all the offers for all that is wrong, but it is just not possible. i’m also working
on projects, but at 84 years old with declining vision and hearing, I am often overwhelmed.
But THAN YOU for all your care and Best of Best Wishes for all your wonderul work!

  39. Steven Hefferon, CMT, PTA says:

Dale, my best suggestion for fingers is to use Heal n Soothe and other supplements if you like but to wear Compression gloves at night (every night) to keep the inflammation down and if you can do that you will allow proper blood flow for healing…

  40. Ginette says:

I wonder if heal and soothe could help me. A large vein burst in my lower left leg at 51 years young. Then pain spread here and there in my body while huge bruise was healing. I have a lot of pain in my right leg for the past year and a half and I think its probably fibrin build up although no doctor has spoken about this I wear compression hoses morning to night because of painfull legs and take pain meds to function, but been off work two school years now. Im a teacher. Docs say mild veinous insufficiency and maybe fibromyalgia. Could heal and soothe help me? Oh God I need help I want my life back!

  41. STEVEN HBI_Staff says:

Ginette, with 20 yrs of experience, I would have to ask you to ask your MD, as Im not sure what the factors are after a vain bursts… Enzymes can thin the blood and if you are still at risk of bleeding then no the Heal n Soothe would not be a good option for you. Sorry I could not be more specific but there are to many variables. Thanks

  42. Anita Roberts says:

I have SLE, Fibromyalgia, Psoratic Arthritis *not sure I spelled it correctly) and just a good case of “regular arthritis” in my right foot as a result of a sky diving accident several years ago when I broke my leg and shattered my ankle. I exercise regularly and stay active. (age 81 and have had SLE since about 1996; it took almost 2 years before they were finally able to dx it) I take several medications that I would prefer not to have to take.

    1. James K says:

      Hello Anita,

That’s quite a history! We look forward to hearing how you like the Heal-n-Soothe! We recommend following the loading dose as you first start it for the first two weeks or so. That will greatly help the enzymes get in there and do what they do best. Also, make sure that you take the capsules on an empty stomach with a glass of water. Keep us in the loop on how everything goes!

      Thanks,
      HBI Admin
