Sciatic Pain is a type of pain, burning or shooting pain running down the legs. Because it’s really a symptom and not a condition, you can get relief quickly. If you haven’t seen it yet, make sure you check out my simple stretch to eliminate sciatic pain today. What actually causes sciatic pain?
Sciatic Pain is usually caused by four conditions
1. Piriformis Syndrome
This is the most common cause. It results when pressure is placed on sciatic nerve by piriformis muscle. Muscles tighten and put pressure on the nerve, causing the pain.
2. Herniated Disc
When a bulging disc puts pressure on the sciatic nerve, it can cause pain.
3. Spinal Stenosis
This is a narrowing of the spinal canal, causing pressure on the nerve leading to pain
In this quite rare condition, the vertebrae shift, pinching the spinal canal, placing pressure on the nerve and causing pain.
