Great neck exercises! I “crashed and burned” in a skiing accident 40 years ago, sustaining a serious neck injury (hyperextension?). Never went to the doctor, chiropractor, physical therapist. I was a young college kid with no money, no insurance and no time or inclination to do any of that. The injury has been a bit of a challenge for me ever since. However, about 20 years ago I discovered (sort of on my own) neck exercises like those described (side-to-side stretches) very helpful, and with the aid of occasional chiropractic therapy, have been quite happy!
These can be helpful depending upon cause of neck pain and swelling. My spine was injured when coworkers pulled a practical joke on me at work in the ’70s and the Seafood processing company I worked for were no help whatsoever in gaining medical assistance or outside communication from where I was captive within Bristol Bay, Alaska. Many active workers and adventurers have had no health insurance/access and left with our own solutions, especially when the will outlives the spine. The herniated disk in my case causes my levator scapulae muscles to contract and spasm and I find shoulder rotations and traction offer the best relief from chronic agony. Great work you do Jesse, thanks for caring!
Wow thats amazing. It really works. My back issue has been 7 years now after the birth of my boys. I had Pubis symphositis and have ended up with sciatica, neck pain, shoulder pain and every area radiating out from the spine.LOL Only place that doesnt hurt somedays is my nose.LOL
At this point it is just management and Palates has been great but you really do need little tweaks throughout the day. Thanks heaps I’ll be passing that one on to all my friends.
Cheers Lou 🙂
It worked some but not much for the shoulder strain. Maybe I need to change my chair or sit in a better positions.
That was pretty awesome! I really needed some movement, given that I’ve been staring at my pc for almost 6 hours now, and with all these reports stating a causal link between health complications and immobility, we need all the movement we can get. Thanks again!
