I kreally don’t like listening to audios or videos — how about doing a transcript? I have had one of your audios on my desktop for weeks and haven’t yet been able to force myself to listen.

I agree WHOLE HEARTEDLY with lynn capurro……..NEED READABLE SCRIPT OF MESSAGE. Do not have time to watch or listen to reports/interviews………too slow….i just leave without any value because chatter contains so much non information k

  3. e dhawan says:

I agree. I started to listen, but the heavy breathing into the microphone and the amount of time it takes to get information made me hit stop. I prefer to read a transcript as well. Thank you.

I agee with the above comments. No intended offence to the ‘therapists’ who are trying to help.
But, ironically, this all (and similar audios) GAVE me a headache! We KNOW all this from the experiences we’ve had in doing our utmost to at least lessen our pain and how it affects our lifestyles. We, or let me talk for myself, I, am not blaming or holding responsible, childhood training – in fact, the reverse – I was INFLUENCED to be stoic and that influence led me in early adulthood (I’m 51 now) to find the solutions that worked best for me. I DO hold some of the medical profession responsible for misleading/misinforming me, in fact, in a couple of cases, deliberately leading me up the garden path in ill-formed attempts to change me from victim (as they saw it) to owner. This caused further irriversible damage and more pain. Contrary to the ‘misunderstood’, ‘take from the govt.’ attitude from the medical profession instead of going out to work because I ‘believed’ I couldn’t, I worked myself almost into the grave. So, when I hear the same drivel from people purporting to have a different attitude and approach, I switch off. It ultimately causes more anxiety on top of what I already have in dealing with several doctors. Yes – I AM a victim – not one who blames, generally, anyone for my situation – but one as a sufferer (and I don’t like that word, but again, ironically, one needs to ‘own’ the truth) the PROVEN medical/physiological conditionS I have. I HAVE listened to most of this audio and found it to be very defensive. The word/s ‘self-help’ mean JUST THAT. Finding out for oneself what helps you best, even if that means, after research, consulting professionals, rather than taking as one’s personal truth what all and sundry medical professionals/therapists decide for your body. This is stuff that we have all heard before.

Found your interview really helpful and carried my computer round while I listened and so was able to get my tasks done at the same time.
I aleady know and agree with the concepts you discussed but it’s always good to be reminded so you can try again to put them into practice
. I recognise the victim mentality in myself and others too readily .I am keen to share the audio with some people I know who urgently need to hear it as i have said similar things to them myself, but they have not really ‘heard’. It is not unusual to be rebuffed when you speak this way but you are only trying to share the truth. Thanks a lot.

Looks like most of your are still living as “victims”!

Look, if anyone has little time it’s me… SET ASIDE THE TIME.

    You spent 2 minutes complaining.

And if you’ve “heard it all before”, then what in the world are you waiting for?

I weigh 280 and my wife weighs 260. My right shoulder has had every bone broken at least in 25 places or more each and both hips have been replaced, my left full replacement and my right shoulder completely rfeplaced and I am in a lot of pain from just lying down. The mattress’es we have purchazsed in the last ten years have only lasted 6 months longest. What can we do?
