John is right. I a was always active. I injured my back and had two unsuccessful back fusions. The last surgery helped with one pain but left me with indescribable sciatic pain. It is like a gun shot, thou I’ve never been shot, I can only imagine nothing being worse than this nerve pain as like a gun shot. It 24/7 and has completely changed me and my lifestyle. Pain medication slightly masks the pain and opens up another world of problems. So I opt not to take them unless I am going out with my family. If I am home I will stay on ice laying flat watching the world go by wondering hw I got here. You must be wondering if I can have another surgery to fix this? I can’t answer that. Two back to back surgeries within 13 months has already taken its toll on me an my family both financially, emotionally and physically. We are now losing our home and my wife her job. You really never knw what’s going on with people. I no longer judge and understand how scuicide really comes about. It’s not about weakness or being selfish, it’s real tangible pain.
A quick stretch?? It’s that sort of nonsense that infuriates sufferers. Hope is key. Hope that any day a medical breakthrough will occur and take the pain away. Use whatever pain free time you have to enjoy life.

You’re right, hope IS key to ending depression.
