Treatment for Lower Back Pain

Lower back pain is the most common form of back pain. It can be brought on by a multitude of causes such as a pulled muscle, disc issues, arthritis and more. But more importantly, besides trauma, the real cause of lower back pain is muscle imbalances in the body. We will focus on treatments for lower back pain, but if you would like to learn more about muscle imbalances, CLICK HERE.

The most effective treatment for lower back pain, in our opinion, is addressing muscle imbalances in the body and correcting them. If you have lower back pain and have tried everything but still deal with pain, you probably have not identified the muscle imbalances in your body. But don’t be upset, most people have never heard of muscle imbalances or postural dysfunctions before. Most physicians do not educate their patients in this regard. In a nutshell, muscle imbalances cause postural dysfunctions. These postural dysfunctions put stress and strain on the spine, which ultimately can cause pain. These can be corrected with specific exercises and stretches.

Another highly effective treatment for lower back pain is Trigger Point therapy. Trigger points make muscles tight, weak and painful. Trigger point therapy targets these tiny, painful contracted muscles by relaxing and releasing them. Daily trigger point therapy alongside Muscle Balance Therapy will help restore balance in the body.

Inversion Therapy has been known to help relieve lower back pain symptoms. Inversion Therapy has be around for the past 2,000 years. The concept of inversion therapy involves hanging upside down, whether that is in an inversion table or with inversion boots. The act of inverting relieves pressure, stress and compressive forces off of the spine. Pressure on the spinal discs is reduced while space between the discs increases. Nutrients and additional blood flow become available to area. Inversion Therapy also provides additional health benefits such as maintaining your height, improving blood circulation in the body, relieves tension and stress, increases mental alertness, increases range of motion and flexibility, improves posture and realigns the spine after workouts.

Remember though, that no two people are the same. A combination of treatments most often work more effectively than one treatment alone. It’s hard to keep a positive attitude when you are experiencing pain, but doing so will only increase your ability to heal your lower back pain.
